Stephen, you are absolutely right. Thank you as well for caring about the issues. I meant to say 'tribulation' without reference to its timing relative to the rapture, following the original article.

SRL: I just found your blog...sorry for commenting on an old post.

I'm a dispensational premillennialist, and I've never heard that 2/3 of the Jews will die before the Rapture. I've studied eschatology from a premillennial perspective all my life, and never come across this teaching.

Did you mean (or the group you quoted, I suppose) before the Second Coming? Dispensational premillennialists make a clear distinction between the Rapture (at the beginning of the Tribulation) and the Second Coming (at the end of the Tribulation).

I realize you're not dispensational, and I'm not trying to change your mind. I'm just trying to clarify what we actually believe.

Thanks for caring about these issues.

God Bless,

Stephen Stallard

It is a very good way to tell. However, in many churches it doesn't seem to be an issue, judging by the popularity of people like Jakes in bookstores and the speaking circuit.

You might be interested in this document which has some impressive signatories, explaining why the biblical view of Israel is not what premillennialists and Zionists promote.

Did you hear of John MacArthur's recent controversial talk at the Shepherd's Conference, which angered many attendees? He used his opportunity with that captive reformed audience (including many post- and amillennialists) to teach that Calvinists should be premillennial dispensationalists. It has caused a bit of an uproar since there are many who appreciate his ministry who were disappointed in his uncharacteristic mishandling of the Bible in this instance.

We listened to a sermon recently the theme of which was the Trinity of God. One of the things said was that you can always tell a cult by the fact that they do not believe in the trinity, such as the Mormons.

So many Christians today DO NOT know their history and Church history. Where were all the Christians around 70 AD? They were hiding from the wrath that was being poured out on the Jews, i.e. Massada, Jerusalem and so many other events.

The only hope for the Jews is not more money but the comfort that was ALREADY sent, Jesus Christ. There is nothing more, He is the ultimate gift.

Thanks for the article Steven, I really enjoyed reading it, so do some more! :)
